We're recruiting on behalf of a regional PR agency for a Senior Account Director to join their Bangkok office. This is a great opportunity to take senior ownership of exciting regional accounts with a strong focus on B2C, leading an integrated mix of PR, digital, and content work while shaping strategy, growing the business and mentoring/managing the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of integrated accounts, primarily focused on Thailand with regional execution oversight
• Chair internal and client status meetings, driving accountability and progress across deliverables
• Oversee contact reports and monthly activity reporting, with clear performance metrics
• Sign off on all client-ready materials and reports before submission
• Oversee media monitoring, clippings, and strategic media pitching
• Lead briefing and coordination with third-party partners, including designers, digital vendors, and event producers
• Oversee event planning and execution, ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders
• Act as the main point of contact for key clients, building long-term trust through senior-level relationship management
• Manage deliverables, forecasting, and account budgets to protect profitability and prevent over-servicing
• Proactively resolve complex client and operational issues, bringing in senior counsel where needed
• Supervise, line-manage, and mentor account managers, executives, and junior staff, fostering a high-performance team culture
• Manage team workloads, staffing, and capacity planning across accounts
• Set clear KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and support career development across the team
• Serve as an escalation point for internal team challenges
• Provide senior strategic counsel to clients across PR, digital, and owned channels
• Drive business development, proactively leading pitches and proposals within B2C
• Lead research and insight development for strategy planning - competitor analysis, audience profiling, trend monitoring
• Shape client narratives and messaging frameworks alongside content and creative leads
• Anticipate and manage reputation or campaign risks, advising clients accordingly
• Lead media training and prep sessions for senior client spokespeople
• Represent the agency in key client meetings, confidently defending recommendations and guiding decisions
• Support senior leadership in renewal discussions and organic account growth
• Oversee development of strategic content; press releases, briefing materials, decks, social content, and editorial calendars
• Review, edit, and sign off on written materials to maintain quality and tone
• Adapt content across audiences, channels, and localised regional formats
• Use AI tools thoughtfully to elevate work without compromising originality or strategic thinking

Requirements

• 10+ years of PR agency experience, including demonstrated people management and team leadership
• Strong knowledge of the Thailand media landscape, with proven experience across regional campaigns
• Experience in business development and account management, ideally with B2C clients
• Fluent written and spoken English; bilingual in Thai and English required
• Bachelor's degree in PR, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field
• Excellent organisational skills, strong financial acumen, and solid crisis management capability
• Confident operating independently and leading a team at a senior level
