Director of Operations.

Aspire Middle East seeking a proactive and experienced Director of Operations to join an esteemed events organising team. The ideal candidate will work with inter-departmental teams to plan, direct, and manage the logistics and operations of our exhibitions, ensuring that we achieve both our financial and operational targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, direct, and monitor the planning and execution of exhibition operations.
• Work closely with project directors to plan, manage, and control the budget for executing the operations and logistical requirements of exhibitions.
• Create and devise innovative, cost-efficient, and time-saving solutions for operational deliverables.
• Plan and implement effective cost measures, including new revenue streams from third-party suppliers and contractors to increase departmental profitability.
• Provide leadership, support, coaching, training, and direction to the operations team.
• Oversee on-site hall management throughout each exhibition, ensuring the smooth running of the show.
• Meet regularly with all relevant contractors and suppliers to ensure that services are provided as required.
• Implement duties in line with quality standards, security, and health & safety requirements.
• Continually seek opportunities for self-development and the development of the Operations team.
• Utilize project management, people management, and budget formulation skills effectively.

Requirements:

• At least 7 to 9 years of exhibitions operations experience in a show organiser capacity.
• Proven record of exhibitions operations management.
• Proven leadership experience and capabilities.
• Excellent computer literacy, including proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong project management and budget formulation skills.
