The Company:

This marketing leading, international research agency who specialise in social research are looking for a Graduate level Research Analyst to join their team. They work on a variety of international and social projects across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. This role will sit within their Africa team and you will be working on media monitoring projects amongst others.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone have may have studied subjects such as War Studies, International Relations, Geography or History or other relevant subjects and has a particular interest in the African market.

The Job:

• Preparation, data analysis, drafting, dissemination and follow-up of research products on developments across the countries of focus.
• Triangulation of findings from multiple research methods, including quantitative opinion polling, media monitoring and social listening, open-source insights, key informant interviews, satellite imagery, among others.
• Coordinating with the Senior Research Analyst and Assessment Manager to deliver high quality reports.
• Proactively identify gaps in knowledge, design new approaches to tackle these information gaps, and engage with a range of external organisations (suppliers and clients).

• Provide data analysis on primary and/or secondary data, ensuring that meaningful techniques are used to analyse the data collected; and report writing.
• Keeping abreast of relevant news in regions of study.

The Candidate:

• A graduate, ideally within subjects such as War Studies, International Relations, Geography, Politics or other relevant subjects.
• A genuine interest in African politics.
• An analytical mind in order to understand and interpret data.
• Excellent written and literature review skills.
