Planning Media Manager

Procter & Gamble (P&G) is one of the world's largest advertisers, owning globally iconic brands such as Gillette, Pampers, Oral-B and Head and Shoulders.

We are working on an exciting and industry defining project to grow our UK Media Team by bringing in-house a significant proportion of our media planning and buying capability. Our Planning Media Manager role offers a unique opportunity to join this team and work on some of the biggest media budgets in the UK, building a legacy for our brands and organisation. OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

As a Planning Media Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the creation of strong and consistent media strategies across all media touch points (TV, digital etc.)
  • Delivering & adapting these strategies according to business objectives, allocated budgets and while considering consumer insights and market trends.
  • Co-ordinating P&G/agency media teams to ensure perfect implementation of media strategies across touchpoints and working hand-in-hand with the P&G digital activation team to ensure digital excellence.
  • Building and managing relationships with external media vendors.
  • Manging multi-million £ budgets, planning within all internal guidelines and controls.
  • Managing, coaching & developing your direct report, the Planning Executive
  • Supporting innovation to remain ahead of the competition, connecting externally to stay in-touch with the latest trends.
  • Working closely with multiple stakeholders (Media, Trial, Analytics & Insights) and partners to deliver a consumer-centric data strategy.

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU…

  • Have proven experience in strategic media planning across all digital and AV touch points in a media agency or in-house environment managing large budgets.
  • Hold excellent knowledge of the UK media landscape and put the consumer experience at the heart of activities and decisions.
  • Are a proactive and business minded leader with excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, able to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders to drive action.
  • Can demonstrate strong strategic and analytical thinking to assess and recommend opportunities.
  • Have experience or a strong passion for managing or coaching Executive level employees.
  • Have mastery with media planning tools such as TGI and GWI as well as Microsoft Office package.

Have experience with Consumer-Packaged Goods companies (although not essential).

Head Office Location: This role is based in our UK Head Office in Weybridge, Surrey which is an easy commute from London with regular trains from Waterloo and a free shuttle service from the station to the office. Flexibility: We operate a flex at work approach, with flexibility built into the role. Our UK Media Team spend 3 days of their week collaborating together in our offices or at our external partners or customers. This is balanced with 2 of their days spent on focused work which most tend to do from home. Of course, we do a bit of both every day, but we encourage our teams to choose where they work based on the jobs to be done.
