Sponsorships sales: Conference sponsorship - 10 weeks - Experienced!

Looking for an intelligent and proactive salesperson to join the sponsorship sales team in London. The Sponsorship sales candidate will join a high performing sales team, which was recently awarded 27th place on the Sunday Times Fast Track award for the fastest growing companies. Our revenue motivations remain high and we are constantly growing the team and revenue.

We provide a global platform for content rich and investment focussed conferences, providing unparalleled peer to peer networking. A strong and diverse portfolio of events across multiple industries, including Animal Health, Consumer, Legal, Life Sciences and Artificial Intelligence.

After an extremely successful pivot to online events, we are now delighted to be back to face-to-face events and looking to scale our portfolios, quickly!

This role involves more than just selling high value sponsorship packages, with the successful applicant also taking responsibility for working closely with our Conference Producers to launch and scale events, influence event strategy and feed high levels of market intelligence back into the campaign. This person needs to be hands-on, enthusiastic, determined and flexible, with a strong work ethic.

Primary Responsibilities

Revenue

  • Develop deep working relationships with both large corporates and new start-ups in the space
  • Grow revenue from existing accounts, increasing both average spend and frequency of spend across portfolio
  • Develop new business from cold on launch events
  • Articulate key value proposition of our events/platforms and illustrate how our platform can deliver maximum impact for clients
  • Manage existing sponsors to deliver above expectations and then secure re-book/follow on revenue
  • Deliver Non-event revenue from our current and new clients

Content & Product Development

  • Work actively with the Production team to influence event strategy and direction from a commercial standpoint
  • Develop a deep understanding of your marketplace, to be able to read and comment on trends, cycles, buying patterns etc and be a resource for both your clients and colleagues
  • Contribute to topic generation and validation from a commercial perspective and support Conference Director

Internal

  • Lead by example in activity, reporting and pipelines, including the use and maintenance of Salesforce as a CRM
  • Input into a marketing campaign to generate leads and opportunities
  • Feed-back on market intel and sales pipeline to Sales/Commercial Director on a weekly basis
  • Develop strong working relationship with internal stakeholders - marketing, production, operations etc

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years selling high value sponsorship packages in the events world
  • Proven record of portfolio selling and growth - including increasing existing client spend and new business generation
  • Proven record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets
  • Demonstrable ability to deliver revenue on new products
  • Ability to grasp and understand varied and sometimes technical markets
  • English Fluency; UK based essential with the ability to travel to a London office (hybrid working environment)
