Sustainability Lead - FMCG.

Our client is one of the leading global consultancies specialising in food, drink and consumer research. They have an enviable client list and regularly work with over 50% of the top 100 global food and drink brands. They have offices across the world and have a team of research professionals that are multi-discipline in nature covering fields such as R&D, insight, marketing, sensory science, data sciences and psychology.

They're now looking for a Sustainability Lead in a brand new role to the business.

The role:

• Senior leadership role where you will be reporting directly into the Global CEO and have unrivalled visibility across the whole group, which is made up of research, innovation and branding agencies
• The role will have both an internal and external focus, essentially being the driving force for positive change across the whole group and its clients.
• Not only will you be working on sustainability initiatives internally to make the business more sustainable, you will also have an external focus whereby you'll be tasked with providing sustainability consultancy to their global client base and helping to grow out this offering.
• This is the most strategically important hire for the business in years and will offer the opportunity to work with the board and shape the role, taking an active part in overall business strategy across this award-winning group of businesses to ensure they are driving sustainability forwards.

About you:

• You will have strong sustainability experience, either from a consultancy or in-house role, with prior experience of target setting and developing frameworks.
• You will need to possess strong experience of the FMCG sector, having worked with global consumer, food or drink businesses.
• You will possess strong leadership skills and be comfortable in a standalone role where you will have to engage senior stakeholders to drive things forward.
• An entrepreneurial mindset will be key as you will be tasked with growing out and developing the sustainability offering.
• Strong commercial acumen and comfortable with clients.
• Excited by the prospect of growing and developing a function and eventually hiring a team beneath you.
