I love a chatty candidate. Yes, really! You’re the best because the more you talk, the more I can help you find what you’re looking for. We have a wealth of amazing opportunities here at Aspire and our team will help you throughout the process of finding your dream role…but we can’t guess what’s best for you and where you’ll thrive so we need to talk. We have done this all many, many times so trust in our expertise and let’s work together. Here’s how to get the best experience and quick results;
Communicate – remember, I can’t read your mind. Let me know your questions, thoughts, feedback and updates so I get to know you and can keep you in the loop as soon as something comes through with what you’ll be a great match for. Silence or slow responses help nobody.
Tell us how to communicate with you – whether it’s email, call, text, or WhatsApp, let us know how and when is best for us to get in touch.
Avoid working with too many recruitment agencies at once. It’s usually easier for you to work exclusively with a larger agency or no more than two smaller firms as we’ll all want to do as much as we can for you so having lots of unconnected teams contacting you will probably just get on your nerves.
Tell me about your ideal role - who would you love to work for, how do you want to work, what would make a great team and work environment, are you seeking experience, a pay rise, prestigious title, big name company, satisfying projects...? Whether you dream of digital roles with Disney or see yourself as senior exec with a start-up, paint me a picture and I'll help you frame it.
Be honest about what you want and don’t just say what you think we want to hear. It’s okay if you’re moving job purely for more pay or because you don’t like your team. I want to find you what you’re looking for.
Raise any concerns - we already know your prospective employer and agency and we can find out more for you, answering your questions and overcoming your concerns to see if it’s a right fit. Don’t worry about anything – most concerns can be resolved or clarified much more easily than you may think.
Use me. Let’s run through your interview task or some likely questions together. It can be nerve wracking and a practice run can help enormously. Remember that I know what your hiring managers are looking for and I know them well. The more we talk things though, the better you will come across so don’t be shy – let’s get ready to knock their socks off!
And finally, please don’t be disheartened if it takes a while or you miss out on something you really liked. I’m are here for you and want you to have a bright future somewhere you’ll be happy and passionate. Stay with me and let me help you realize that dream!
