We are seeking a highly skilled Data Manager to join a leading events organisation based in Dubai. The ideal candidate will drive data acquisition strategies, manage data infrastructure, and oversee the development of advanced analytics solutions to support business growth. This role is critical in ensuring that data-driven insights enhance operational performance across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to source data for sales and marketing campaigns from various channels, including internal systems, external vendors, and public APIs.
  • Manage data acquisition projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Identify and evaluate data vendors, negotiating agreements to procure external data sources aligned with business needs.
  • Ensure data quality by establishing validation protocols and collaborating with stakeholders to meet data requirements.
  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines in collaboration with the data engineering team.
  • Oversee the Data Warehouse to support reporting and analytics, and drive the adoption of advanced analytics and AI.
  • Lead data-related projects and promote self-service data analysis across the organisation.
  • Define data governance frameworks and taxonomies to guide technology procurement and design.

Skills Required:

  • 5+ years of experience across Data and Analytics, and Business Intelligence, with strong proficiency in SQL, SQL Server, and Power BI.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel is essential.
  • Strong background in designing data structures, implementing controls, and applying statistical and visualization techniques.
  • Proficient in scaling data operations to support both operational and strategic growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to shape and execute a data strategy aligned with multiple business functions, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and IT.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to lead the team, prioritise, adapt, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
