Join our client, a market-leading events company, as an Event Sales Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for securing sponsorship and exhibition revenues for specific events. Your main focus will be executing B2B and B2G sales campaigns, driving revenue growth, and ensuring a great customer experience. We are seeking a candidate who is analytical, creative, and capable of successfully managing multiple projects throughout the year to meet targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Secure sponsorship and exhibition revenues through effective sales campaigns.
  • Retain and grow key accounts while generating revenue from new business opportunities.
  • Close deals across the energy industry value chain, catering to small, medium, and large enterprise clients.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders through a consultative approach.
  • Exceed agreed show and personal revenue and profit targets.
  • Conduct market research to understand the objectives and ambitions of clients.
  • Tailor partnership propositions and identify new sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless event operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing exhibitor and sponsor needs onsite.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and trends relevant to assigned conferences.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • Excellent telephone sales manner with a high call rate.
  • 4-5 years of experience in B2B conference sponsorship and exhibition sales, preferably in the energy and/or government sectors.
  • Strong networking skills and proficiency in social media usage.
  • Technical experience with contract management and proposal writing.
  • Familiarity with databases and CRM usage, preferably Salesforce.
  • Ability to cross and up-sell opportunities and products.
  • Customer-focused mindset, seeking win/win agreements.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written), additional languages such as Arabic are advantageous.
